boy named Jethro fought against the odds to find hope and meaning in a world
that seemed determined to deny him both. Bereft of parents, Jethro resided
with his loving but aging grandmother amidst the squalor and despair of the
dirtiest slum in the country. Within the slum’s desolate boundaries, countless

parentless children, like Jethro, endured a bleak existence, their dreams
eclipsed by poverty and a lack of opportunity.
But amidst this seemingly insurmountable adversity, a flicker of light
penetrated the darkness. Jethro, alongside many other children, was embraced
as a cherished member of a devoted team working tirelessly to bring change
to their lives. Every Sunday, the team gathered for a transformative Sunday
school, a sanctuary of knowledge and love amidst the harsh realities of the
slum.
This team, recognizing the tremendous potential in Jethro, made it their
mission to provide him and other underprivileged children with the education
they were unjustly denied. They witnessed the spark of curiosity within
Jethro’s eyes, a hunger for learning that transcended the limitations of his
environment. It was a sight that both moved and inspired them to take action.
Grandmother, acutely aware of the transformative power of education,
